Gianfranco Lanci, former CEO (Chief Executive Officer) from Acer, Samsung could reach the leadership soon. It would seem that Lanci was sought by most major manufacturers of laptops to lead to divisions in Europe. Samsung would be the winner.

Rumor has it that Gianfranco Lanci will reach the Samsung yard in August. It should handle the division of notebooks and netbooks. However, Acer has imposed a strict one year to be able to re-engage in the same field. Samsung says it will negotiate with Acer.

Former CEO of Acer has been contacted by HP, ASUS and Dell. Samsung is the smallest of companies who have wanted a management position.
